Boletín Pronóstico a corto plazo para la región Protección Civil Ciudad Acuña Cd. Acuña, Coahuila, México. 09:59hrs CST SAB ABR 11 2009
Para el día y noche de hoy:
Un frente se aproximara a la región el día de hoy, incrementando las posibilidades de lluvias y tormentas severas aisladas
para la noche de hoy. El mayor riesgo de este sistema es la posibilidad de granizo y tornados aislados. Para el
día de hoy, 20% de probabilidades de lluvias y tormentas severas aisladas, incrementando a un 50% para la noche, vientos
del Sureste de 40km/h.
Domingo:
El frente frio pasara por la región acompañado de lluvias y tormentas severas aisladas el domingo por la mañana. Algunas
tormentas producirán granizo y no se descarta la posibilidad de la formación de tornados aislados. 20% de probabilidades
de lluvias, vientos del Sureste de 40km/h.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS.
.DAY ONE…TODAY AND TONIGHT…
A STRONG UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEM AND COLD FRONT WILL APPROACH THE
AREA TONIGHT. THIS WILL GENERATE CHANCES OF THUNDERSTORMS MAINLY
ACROSS THE RIO GRANDE PLAINS INTO THE HILL COUNTRY THIS EVENING.
THE CHANCES WILL SPREAD EAST ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF SOUTH CENTRAL
TEXAS OVERNIGHT. SOME OF THE THUNDERSTORMS COULD BECOME SEVERE.
THE MAIN THREATS WILL BE LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS…ALTHOUGH
AN ISOLATED TORNADO IS POSSIBLE.
.DAY TWO…SUNDAY…
A STRONG UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEM AND COLD FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS
TEXAS ON SUNDAY. THERE ARE CHANCES OF THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS ALL BUT
THE WESTERN PARTS OF SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS EARLY SUNDAY MORNING. THE
CHANCES WILL END FROM WEST TO EAST LATER SUNDAY MORNING INTO THE
AFTERNOON. SOME OF THE THUNDERSTORMS COULD BECOME SEVERE. THE MAIN
THREATS WILL BE LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS…ALTHOUGH AN
ISOLATED TORNADO IS POSSIBLE.
IN THE WAKE OF THE UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEM AND COLD FRONT…NEAR
CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE RIO GRANDE
PLAINS…EDWARDS PLATEAU INTO THE WESTERN HILL COUNTRY. THIS IS
DUE TO DRY AIR AND BREEZY CONDITIONS. SHOULD WETTING RAINS
OCCUR…HOWEVER THE FIRE WEATHER THREAT MAY BE TEMPERED.
.DAY THREE THROUGH SEVEN…MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY…
NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON…
AN APPROACHING UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING A GOOD CHANCE
OF RAIN TO SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS AND THE HILL COUNTRY TONIGHT THROUGH
SUNDAY. RAIN CHANCES WILL BEGIN TO INCREASE FROM THE WEST EARLY
TONIGHT. THE BEST CHANCES FOR RAIN WILL THEN SHIFT EASTWARD
OVERNIGHT AND ACROSS THE EASTERN HALF OF THE REGION AFTER DAYBREAK
ON SUNDAY.
VERY STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS ARE POSSIBLE…WITH THE HIGHEST
LIKELIHOOD OF SEVERE ACTIVITY FIRST ACROSS AND WEST OF THE HILL
COUNTRY AND EDWARDS PLATEAU SATURDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY SUNDAY
MORNING. THE THREAT WILL THEN SHIFT TO MAINLY EAST OF A LINE FROM
FREDERICKSBURG TO SAN ANTONIO TO BEEVILLE EARLY SUNDAY MORNING.
THE CHANCE FOR RAIN AND THE THREAT OF SEVERE STORMS WILL CONTINUE
TO PROGRESS EASTWARD THROUGHOUT THE DAY WITH THE MAJORITY OF THE
ACTIVITY EXITING THE REGION BY LATE SUNDAY AFTERNOON. THE MAIN
THREATS WILL BE LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS…BUT THERE IS STILL
A CHANCE FOR ISOLATED TORNADOES.
VERY DRY AIR WILL PUSH INTO THE REGION BEHIND THE STORM SYSTEM.
NEAR CRITICAL TO CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED
SUNDAY AFTERNOON ACROSS THE HILL COUNTRY…EDWARDS PLATEAU…AND
RIO GRANDE PLAINS. RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL FALL INTO THE LOWER
20S AND INTO THE TEENS SUNDAY AFTERNOON. HOWEVER…WETTING RAINS
ARE POSSIBLE SATURDAY NIGHT AND EARLY SUNDAY MORNING WHICH MAY
HELP LESSEN THE FIRE WEATHER THREAT.
